Hydra Town is the island's single harbour town, about 1.5 to 2 hours from Piraeus by fast ferry. There are no cars: you walk, take a donkey, a water taxi or a small boat to the beaches. Vlychos and Kamini are walkable west of town; Bisti and Agios Nikolaos are reached by boat.
