Parking

Nafplio

The Old Town is mostly closed to visitors' cars. Park free on the waterfront by the harbour and walk in.

How street parking works

  • Free parking along the waterfront by the harbour, around the old railway station park, about 7–8 minutes' walk from the Old Town. It's about two rows deep.
  • The few spaces inside the Old Town are for residents with a permit, marked green with a white outline. Don't use them, even if they're empty.
  • The bay opposite Bourtzi castle is for tour buses only.
  • White lines: free. Blue lines: paid. Check the sign.

Good to know

  • Arrive before 09:00, especially at weekends and from June to September.
  • Enforcement is strict: you risk a ticket, and sometimes the plates are removed.
  • The free parking has no guards or cameras. Don't leave valuables in sight.

Car parks in Nafplio

Car parks from OpenStreetMap, mapped by volunteers. Paid or free is shown only where it's mapped: check the sign at the entrance.

Checked November 2026. Rules and prices change: the sign at the spot always wins.
