Parking
Rethymno
Park at the edge of the Old Town: the paid harbour car park, or free spaces below the Fortezza and around Sohora Stadium.
How street parking works
- Many Old Town streets are pedestrian, narrow or one-way. Don't drive in to sightsee. Ask your hotel where you can stop to unload.
- Municipal street parking is paid in the ParkAlot app, or at kiosks and other sales points.
Where to park
- Venetian Harbour car park (Parking Limani)Paid, below the Fortezza on Kefalogianni Avenue. Summer 2026 board: first 30 minutes free, €3 for the first hour, then €0.50 for each of the next 2 hours and €0.60 an hour after that. A sign shows free spaces.
- Below the Fortezza (Kefalogianni Avenue)Some free spaces along the avenue. Not every space is free: read the sign.
- Around Sohora StadiumSome free public spaces, west of the Old Town.
- StS Fortezza Parking (Ioannou Melissinou 9)Paid, at the north-west edge of the Old Town.
Good to know
